PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a projector function to a portable telephone set without making a casing large in size. SOLUTION: The upper casing of a folding type portable telephone set is formed with a first display part 12 installed so as to be exposed when the portable telephone set is opened and a second display part 13 installed so as to be exposed even when it is closed. The second display part 13 is formed with a transparent color LCD and a super-high luminance LED 14 as a back light. In a projector mode, a control part 15 drives the super-high luminance LED 14 to emit a light, and an image to be projected is reversely displayed at the second display part 13. Thus, the image displayed at the second part 13 is projected on a screen. The second display part can be used as both a sub-display part and a display part for a projector only by integrating the super-high luminance LED 14 and the optical system in the casing, Thus, it is possible to add a projector function to the portable telephone set while maintaining the current size of the casing.
