DETERGENT COMPOSITION FOR SILVERWARE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for effectively cleaning sulfide coatings and the dirt of food characteristic of silverware such as silver tableware. SOLUTION: The detergent composition for silverware comprises alkali metal carbonate, and is used in the presence of aluminum. The detergent composition may further comprise alkali metal phosphate. The composition in which pH is≥10 and/or conductivity is≥10 mS/cm at 30°C in a 1 wt.% aqueous solution of the above composition is preferable as well. In the method for cleaning silverware, these detergent compositions are used in the state of an aqueous solution in the presence of aluminum. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
