The front door (1), for a house, has a high thermal resistance over its whole surface including the frame. The door swings on a hinge strip (6) between the frame and the door panel frame (5). The depth (A) of the rabbet space (7) between the rabbet overlap (8) at the door frame and the side towards the house interior (2) brings the inner sides together when the door is closed. The rabbet space depth is greater than the depth (B) between the surface (14) of the inner rabbet overlap (9) at the panel frame towards the house exterior (3) and the outer surface. An insulation board is doubled at the outer surface so that, when the door is closed, its outer edge (17) retracts behind the visible surface of the outer rabbet overlap.
|
