The manifold has pipes (3, 11, 21, 31) and a gas guide tube (1). Each pipe (11, 21, 31) exhibits an opening (15, 25, 35) for admission of openings (7, 17, 27) of the neighboring pipes (3, 11, 21) by parabola welding. An air gap is preset between a gas proof jacket and the gas guide tube. The openings (15, 25, 35) of the pipes (11, 21, 31) are arranged in bends (5, 13, 23, 33). An independent claim is also included for a method of producing a gas guide tube for an exhaust manifold.
