PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underfloor storage space which is constructed at a low cost, and sufficiently makes waterproofing provision, and to provide a method of constructing the same. SOLUTION: The underfloor storage space 10 is formed in a space from below a floor of a house to the underground, and enclosed by ground reinforcing bodies 11 on peripheral sides. Then a first impervious film 20 is arranged along an outside surface of each ground reinforcing body 11, and a second impervious film 30 is arranged along an inside surface of the ground reinforcing body 11. Further a drip hole h is formed in a gap between the first impervious film 20 and the second impervious film 30, for relieving water infiltrating into the ground reinforcing body 11 to the ground below the same. The first impervious film 20 is transversely extended across the ground reinforcing body 11 from the outside to the inside, and raised along the inside surface of the ground reinforcing body 11 together with the second impervious film 30. A cross section of the first impervious film 20 progressively lowers from the inside to the outside.
