<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a projector with which the lightness of the whole image can be adjusted while reproducibility of respective colors R, G, and B is secured. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system for the projector has a rotary color wheel 11 comprising respective color filters of R, G, and B transmitting light from a light source, a single-plate light valve 16 composed of a DMD 1717 having a plurality of digital micromirrors reflecting transmitted light of the rotary color wheel 11, and a projection lens 19 which projects the light reflected by the single-plate light valve 16 on a screen, the lighting system being for the projector which displays an image with lightness and color rendering corresponding to a display image by shifting a transmissive position of the light of the rotary color wheel 11 to the rotary axis direction and shifting wavelengths of the respective color filters of the rotary color wheel 11 to the rotary axis direction and radially sliding the rotary color wheel 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
