PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a driving circuit by deterring a reactive current from flowing. SOLUTION: The driving circuit is equipped with 1st and 2nd signal lines OUTA' and OUTB' for supplying first and second potentials to one end of a capacitive load 20 as a display means, a waveform output circuit RWO which has its input terminal connected to a supply line supplying a 3rd potential, its output terminal connected to the 1st or 2nd signal line, and its control terminal connected to a waveform generating circuit, and a reactive current prevention switch SWR which is connected between the control terminal of the waveform output circuit and the output terminal or input terminal; and the reactive current prevention switch is turned on in a period wherein the reactive current is deterred from flowing to make small the potential difference between the control terminal and output terminal of the waveform output circuit, thereby making the waveform output circuit not operate.
