PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly television broadcast receiving device which reduces consumption power compared to a state of usual power-in, and at the same time, when power source is switched in, the power source of a digital broadcast receiving module is switched in and started, and waiting time is shortened until video and voice are output, or EPG (Electronic Program Guide) data are acquired. SOLUTION: In the television broadcast receiving device 12 which carries out digital broadcast receiving, operations of power in and out and time are acquired from a remote control receiver 6, a front switch 7, and a clock 8. A CPU 4 installed in a digital broadcast receiving module 3 calculates power-in prediction time from history of the operations, and controls power source 5 for a digital broadcast receiving module based on the power-in prediction time.
