PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drift pin that can simplify and reduce the cost when executing the construction and avoid the looseness of the framework even if a pillar and a horizontal member becomes slim by expansion and contraction of the pillar and the horizontal member. SOLUTION: It is inserted into the latch holes 32, 33, 42, 43 that are formed in a pillar 3 and a beam 4 and the penetration holes 16a, 16b, 17a, 17b that are formed to a connection metal fittings 1 corresponding to the penetration holes. The drift pin 2 is made of metal bar member and composed of a drift pin body 21 which can expand and contract the outer diameter dimension of the drift pin body 21 between smaller initial condition P than the inner diameter dimension of the penetration holes 16a, 16b, 17a, 17b of the above metal fitting 1 and more expansion condition Q than equivalent inner diameter to these penetration holes 16a, 16b, 17a, 17b and an engagement member 22 that can make the drift pin body 21 in the expansion condition by making engage to the insertion hole 21d of the drift pin body 21 in the inserted condition the latch holes 32, 33, 42, 43, of the pillar 3 and the beam 4 of the penetration holes 16a, 16b, 17a, 17b of the connection metal fitting 1 in an initial state P.
