<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus using an organic electroluminescent element, capable of optionally setting illuminance. <P>SOLUTION: Second organic electroluminescent devices 12, 13 in which second organic electroluminescent elements 121, 131 formed on transparent substrates 120, 130 are arranged respectively on the light taking out side (H10 direction) of a first organic electroluminescent device 11 in which a first organic electroluminescent element 111 is formed on a transparent substrate 110. The second organic electroluminescent elements 121, 131 are transparent. The outside of the lighting system 10 is covered with a casing 14, and light emitted from the organic EL device 13 installed on the most light taking out side is emitted to the outside of the lighting system 10.
