<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector and an electrical connector assembly improved in reliability of grounding route, few in number of constituting components, and suitable for high speed signal transmission in the electrical connector assembly and electrical connector 10 constituting the connector assembly which is composed of a first and a second connector equipped with a signal contact 11 arranged in two rows, a grounding member 12 arranged between the row of signal contacts, and a housing 13 supporting the signal contact and the grounding member, and mutually engaging each other. <P>SOLUTION: A first and a second grounding plates 121, 122 for constituting the grounding member are arranged respectively in the vicinity of respective rows 11a, 11b of the signal contact 11 arranged in two rows, and the housing 13 has a penetrating aperture 133, thereby a coupling part 123 for constituting the grounding member 12 can be visually seen and confirmed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
