<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high visibility guard fence which can exhibit the high visibility thereof to a vehicle approaching in every direction, and can suppress the degree of degradation of visibility due to contamination to a relatively small extent. <P>SOLUTION: According to the structure of the high visibility guard fence, a light emitting portion 10 is arranged on an end face of a horizontal beam 20, and the light emitting portion 10 emits light. Thus the visibility of the end face of the guard fence at nighttime is improved, and therefore the guard fence is protected from collision with road users including vehicles and pedestrians. Further by virtue of the light emitting performance, the guard fence can exhibit the high visibility to a vehicle approaching in every direction without depending on recurring reflection of light emitted from a head lamp of the vehicle. Further since the light emitting portion 10 has a light emitting function, the degree of degradation of the visibility of the guard fence due to contamination can be suppressed to a relatively small extent compared with the case where the guard fence is of a retroreflection type. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
