The razor is assembled of a razor head (2) with one or more blades and a hollow handle (1) accommodating a gel cartridge (3). The neck (5) of the cartridge (3) is inserted into a short shaft (6). When a lever (8), attached laterally to the handle (1), is pressed a leaf spring (7) is pushed against the cartridge (3) and gel released into a groove accommodating a rotating drum with a textured surface. The drum is moved in front of the blades distributing the gel onto the area to be shaved.
