MIRROR HOLDER AND WINDSHIELD COVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror holder which enables a mirror reflecting illumination light onto a butt welding part of an optical fiber to quickly be attached to and detached from the holder and quickly be replaced in an optical fiber fusion splicing machine. SOLUTION: The mirror holder 13 is attached to a windshield cover 7 in an optical fiber fusion splicing machine which welds and splices an optical fiber 9 and has constitution that: a holder body 15 to be attached to the windshield cover 7 is provided with a mirror holder 19 which can swing via a hinge 17, the mirror holder supporting a reflection mirror 11 in an attachable and detachable manner; the holder body 15 is further provided with a lock stopper 23 to lock the mirror holder; the mirror holder 19 adds pushing force to the locking part 25 of the lock stopper 23; and elasticity of the hinge 17 is used as the pushing force to the locking part 25 of the lock stopper 23 by the mirror holder 19.
