PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color measuring method and a color measuring device capable of confirming visually and easily a changing process with time of an object color. SOLUTION: A data ROM 13 for HSI conversion stores beforehand information table wherein RGB information is related to HSI information which is perception information of a hue H, a chroma S and a lightness I, and the data ROM 13 for HSI conversion converts a digital RGB signal converted by ADC 12a, 12b, 12c into the HSI information following the information table. DAC 14a, 14b, 14c adjust the converted HSI information so as to have a signal level based on an image signal specification, and output the information as three independent electric signals. The electric signals are, for example, brightness signals, and the DAC 14a, 14b, 14c convert the HSI information into the brightness signal, and thereby display the HSI information as darkness (shade) on a display apparatus 15.
