PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a vehicle body by a common facility, even when assembling loop panels of different shapes since the types of vehicles are different. SOLUTION: A roof panel 3 applied with adhesive is mounted, adhered and joined on a plurality of roof boards 5 positioned by a positioning tool. In this state, both of the roof boards 5 and the roof panel 3 are fixed by welding. The positioning tool is provided with two rotatable rotary support shafts 23. The rotary support shafts 23 are provided with a plurality of tool main bodies 35 along the shaft directions. Each of the tool main bodies 35 is provided with a tool body 37 to position the roof boards 5 corresponding to each roof panel 3 of each type of the vehicles along circumferential directions of the rotary support shafts 23.
