PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge, capable of efficiently filling the inside of a case having first and second chambers, efficiently filling with an ink by preventing deformation of the entirety of the case by the pressure reduction at the time of filling with the ink, and efficiently using the ink in the first and second chambers. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 1 comprises a first chamber 9 for storing an ink by a partition wall 7 formed substantially parallel to one side wall in a case 2, a second chamber 10 disposed substantially parallel to the side wall for supplying an ink to the first chamber 9, and an atmosphere communication path 11 disposed substantially parallel to the side wall for allowing communication of the first chamber 9 with the atmosphere outside the case 2, wherein one end of the second chamber 10 communicates with one end part of the first chamber 9, and the other end is opened to the outside of the case 2 via an ink supply-opening 17, and one end of the atmosphere communication path 11 communicates with the end part of the first chamber 9 on the side opposite to the communication part with the second chamber 10, and the other end is opened to the atmosphere outside the case 2.
