FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline used as an inhibitor of rubber aging agent. Polymer is prepared by condensation reaction of aniline with acetone in the presence of hydrogen chloride. The condensation product is polymerized in the presence of hydrochloric acid, neutralized with alkali followed by extraction of the end product from organic layer in the presence of toluene in the mole ratio of alkali to hydrogen chloride in reaction mass = (0.5-0.8):1 to form an aqueous and organic layers. Then the end product is isolated from an organic layer by distilling off the solvent. Method provides preparing 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline polymer with the content of isopropylbianiline 0.04 wt.-%, not above. ^ EFFECT: improved method for preparing. ^ 1 tbl, 12 ex |
