FIELD: steel heat treatment, particularly quenching of large pipeline fasteners. ^ SUBSTANCE: article quenching device comprises quenching tank with coolant and table installed inside the tank so that table may be lifted and lowered onto inclined tank bottom part. Table is provided with stop preventing article sliding down during table tilting. Forced coolant circulation chamber having inlet orifices for coolant intake from tank formed in upper chamber part is arranged on one wall, particularly on quenching tank wall. Forced coolant circulation chamber has outlet means located in lower part thereof adapted to provide additional directed coolant flow twisting to increase flow velocity. Centrifugal pump or screw propeller is installed inside forced coolant circulation chamber to provide directed coolant circulation inside tank. Quenching tank bottom has inclination angle of not less than 30° and not more than 45° to horizon in direction from forced coolant circulation chamber to opposite quenching tank wall, which facilitates coolant circulation around article to be cooled. ^ EFFECT: provision of forced coolant circulation through the article, around the article and under it. ^ 5 cl, 2 dwg |
