摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide suspension structure for a vehicle to reduce impact to a collided body colliding with a vehicle concerned without limiting a function as a usual suspension. SOLUTION: The suspension structure for the vehicle is equipped with a damping mechanism for damping vibration from a road surface and a support structure supporting the damping mechanism on a vehicle body. A distance increasing mechanism to increase the distance between an upper end of the damping mechanism and an undersurface of a hood is provided on the suspension structure at a predetermined timing (when the collision of the vehicle with the collided body is predicted or detected). The distance increasing mechanism has a removable spacer and a pulling mechanism. The removable spacer adjusts a support height of the damping mechanism by the support structure so that the upper end of the damping mechanism and the undersurface of the hood becomes a first predetermined distance. The pulling mechanism pulls the spacer at the predetermined timing, removes it from the support structure, and invalidates the support height adjustment so that the upper end of the damping mechanism and the undersurface of the hood becomes a second predetermined distance wider than the first predetermined distance.
