PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a server apparatus to manage a state of a portable communication terminal by causing the portable communication terminal to transmit data denoting information related to the portable communication terminal on a designated opportunity to the server apparatus. SOLUTION: An AP management server 500 transmits an identifier to the portable telephone set 600, the identifier denoting a timing when the portable telephone set 600 is obliged to transmit information with respect to an application program to the AP management server 500. Upon the receipt of the identifier denoting the timing when the portable telephone set 600 transmits the information with respect to the application program to the AP management server 500, the portable telephone set 600 transmits the information with respect to the application program to the AP management server 500 on the basis of the timing denoted by the received identifier.
