PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a color Doppler picture data excellent in a low flow-rate detecting performance and high flow-rate detecting performance without reducing a frame frequency. SOLUTION: A transmission and reception part 2 for ultrasonic diagnostic equipment transmits and receives waves at irregular intervals in the first scanning direction of a subject. Then, a mixer 323 and an LPF 324 perform orthogonal phase detection to an obtained reception signal to generate an IQ signal, and a least square filter 327 extracts a Doppler signal component from among the IQ signals by a polynomial least square fitting. Then, an autocorrelator 328 performs autocorrelation processing between Doppler signals obtained adjacently by a short transmission and reception wave interval. An arithmetic unit 329 calculates a flow rate value, a power value and a dispersion value on the basis of this autocorreration processing result. In addition, the transmission and reception part 2 performs irregular interval transmission and reception in a second scanning direction by a long transmission and reception wave interval in the transmission and reception wave in the first scanning direction set at the irregular intervals.
