PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press molding apparatus in which the quality of a molding is improved and the damage of a mold is prevented by bringing the opposite surfaces of alignment members in a mold alignment apparatus into no contact with each other to be movable in the alignment of the mold and after that, joining the opposite surfaces to each other to be made ummovable and keeping the alignment of the mold as it is to accurately adjust and strictly keep the concentricity of the mold and the parallelism of the mold faces. SOLUTION: The press molding apparatus has a mold supporting apparatuses to which each mold is attached and the mold alignment apparatus 21 attached to at least one of the molds. The mold alignment apparatus 21 is provided with a plurality of alignment members and the opposite surfaces of the alignment members are brought into no contact with each other to be movable and is made unmovable by joining the opposite surfaces to each other.
