The present invention provides a vacuum switch tube, the electric field intensity between the neighboring constitutional member and the vacuum switch tube is small. The vacuum switch tube comprises an air-tightened vacuum container having an insulative barrel and a metal barrel, and an external middle-shield covering the outer surface of the connected portions of said insulative barrel and said metal barrel, which are located at the longitudinal middle of vacuum container, having a smoothed and curved outer surface, and the electric field intensity neighboring the connected portion is lightened. The fixing member for securing the external middle-shield to the vacuum container is located inside the outer surface of the shield. |
