摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor and electrophotographic apparatus with which images of good gradation characteristics can be obtained without having surface fogging and dark dots not only under an ordinary use environment but under a low-temperature and low-humidity environment as well and to provide a method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor capable efficiently applying the coating liquid by taking the dispersion states of an undercoat layer coating liquid and a photosensitive layer coating liquid into consideration in combination. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is formed by laminating at least the undercoat layer and the photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate. The undercoat layer and the photosensitive layer respectively contain metal oxide particulates and organic pigment particulates and the area S<SB>UCL</SB>defined by an equation (1) at a passage cumulative particle size distribution curve of the metal oxide particulates and an area S<SB>CGL</SB>defined by an equation (2) at the passage cumulative particle size distribution curve of the organic pigment particulates satisfy a relation expressed by general formula (3).
