IMMERSION NOZZLE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle for continuous casting with which the electric power can efficiently be supplied at a low cost by a simple method and the sticking/depositing of oxide-base inclusion to the inner wall surface of the immersion nozzle can be prevented. SOLUTION: In the immersion nozzle supported with a metal-made nozzle holder, on the contacting part with the above metal-made nozzle holder, an electrically conductive oxidizing-preventive coating agent containing fiber-state or granular metal raw material is coated and the nozzle body is constituted with an electrically conductive refractory composed of a material containing graphite.
