PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device capable of efficiently separately using the type of a sheet (unused sheet or back side of used sheet) to be used, depending on the importance of image data, when recording the image data received by facsimile from an outside line. SOLUTION: A composite machine 1 is provided with an EEPROM 40 for correlating identification information (originator telephone number) of a transmitter side apparatus with sheet type information indicating back side of a used sheet or an unused sheet and storing the information, and an MPU 10 for acquiring the identification information (originator telephone number) of the transmitter side apparatus at the time of facsimile reception. The MPU 10 decides the type of the sheet for recording the received image data, referring to the contents of the EEPROM 40 on the basis of the acquired identification information (originator telephone number).
