PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front fork which is resistant to bends and can oppose stress concentration in a boundary portion between a reinforcing pipe and an outer tube trimmed by the outer tube, while the outer tube made of a carbon resin material enables its weight to be reduced. SOLUTION: In the front fork having the bearing member in which the inner periphery slides to the outer periphery of the inner tube 2 in the inner periphery of the outer tube 1, the front fork is designed for an inverted type in which the upper end side of an inner tube 2 being a car body side member is, in a freely retractable manner, inserted into the inside of the lower end side of the outer tube 1 being the car body side member and at the same time, while the outer tube 1 is formed from a tubular body composed of the carbon resin material, the reinforcing pipe 3 composed of an arbitrary material is trimmed in the outer periphery of the outer tube 1, the lower end of the reinforcing pipe is positioned in the outer periphery of the outer tube 1 having the bearing member 4 in the inner periphery.
