PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low noise compressor by reducing abnormal noise due to rubbing of a coiled spring on the surface of a snub bar holding the inner diameter of the coiled spring even if the abrupt vibration of an electric compression element occurs due to the abrupt variation of torque in synchronous withdrawal immediately after starting in a closed type electric compressor on which an induction synchronous motor is mounted. SOLUTION: The electric compression element 104 is elastically held by the coiled spring 117, the snub bar 118 or 119 holding the inner diameter part of the coiled spring 117 is formed in at least one of the electric compression element and a closed container, and the surface of the snub bar 118 or 119 is formed of a material having lubricity. Accordingly, the abnormal noise generated by the rubbing of the coiled spring 117 on the snub bar 118 or 119 in synchronous withdrawal at the time of starting can be lowered.
