PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material excellent in workability, a water-proofing function, a heat insulating function, a condensation preventing function, a snow guard function, etc. SOLUTION: The roof material A comprises a male-type joint part 12 and a female-type joint part 20. The male-type joint part 12 includes an engaging channel 10 having a substantially U-letter shape formed by an upper face 7, the deepest piece 8 and an insertion piece 9, an insertion gap 11 formed by the upper face 7 and the engaging channel 10, and a stepped facing 6 having a recess/projection part 4b. The female-type joint part 20 formed at an end of an upstream side of a facing 4 includes a fixing piece 15 formed by protruding the upper end of the facing 4 toward the upstream side and suspending the front end downward to the downstream side, the first waterproofing piece 13 formed by bending the lower end of the fixing piece 15 upward, a fitting piece 14 which is formed by protruding the front end of the first waterproofing piece 13 to the upstream side, a fitting channel 16 which is to be fitted to the insertion piece 9 and is formed by the fitting piece 14 and the fixing piece 15 to have the substantially U-shape in cross section, an upper face 17 which is formed by bending the front end of the fitting piece 14 to the downstream side, the second waterproofing piece 18 formed by protruding the front end of the upper face 17 to the downstream side, and a projection 19 formed at the front end of the second waterproofing piece 18.
