A feed device (30) for movement of particulate material (10) into a flow passage, particularly for feeding particulate material (10) to pneumatic conveying systems. The feed device comprises a housing (34) having an inlet (12) for particulate material (10) and containing positive displacement means to transfer particulate material (10) from the inlet (12) through the housing (34) through an outlet port (14) and into the flow passage. In a preferred embodiment the positive displacement means comprises at least two rotors (36, 38), each rotor having at least one pocket (44) to receive particulate material (10). |
