<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel manufacturing method for an oxacephem compound. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for a compound represented by formula (IV), wherein R is an acyl group, R<SP>1</SP>is a carboxyl protective group, Me is methyl group, and X is a halogen, comprises a first process where a compound represented by formula (I) wherein R and R<SP>1</SP>are the same as above, is reacted with a halogenation agent in the presence of a base, a second process where, after the first reaction, MOMe, wherein M is an alkali metal and Me is methyl group, is added in the presence of a halogenation agent, and a third process where, after the second process, a reducing agent is added. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
