PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assign a processing program to an arbitrary key including a PF key per component constituting a picture. SOLUTION: A key assignment system 10 is provided with; component definition information which relates entity components at least partially constituting a display picture to definition components corresponding to the entity components; a definition information file which relates a definition components to at least one key and processing program; a component operation state discrimination part 12 for discriminating whether an entity component is in an active state or not; an assignment execution part 16 which refers to relations of the entity component determined to be in an active state, to a definition component corresponding to the entity component, a key, and a processing program to execute the processing program in response to depression of the key.
