PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suppressing differences of a print result depending upon print conditions.

SOLUTION: In response to an operator's input operation, a relating pattern generation part 12 generates a relating pattern group PG wherein kinds of screen and dot gain quantity correction data are related to each other by print conditions. In response to an operator's selecting operation for print conditions, a relating pattern specification part 14 specifies a pattern corresponding to the print conditions in the relating pattern group PG. Then a relating pattern reference part 17 refers to the specified pattern and a data processing part 16 performs dot gain quantity correction processing and screen processing for an original image whose screen kinds are specified by objects based upon dot gain quantity correction data related to the kinds of the respective screen to form a press plate image.
