PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the restriction of a band width in a plurality of devices having equal functions and allowing a plurality of devices to similarly recognize data such as sound for preventing shortage of the band width when the data such as an image and sound are transmitted to the devices via isochronous OUT transfer in a USB system. SOLUTION: This apparatus control system and a control method, for controlling the USB system and the like, to which a host device and a plurality of target devices 4 are connected, includes a selection means 5 for selecting which ordinary/pseudo device is used for operation of each of a plurality of target devices 4 and a control means 9 for preventing a target device 11 selected as the pseudo device from performing response transmission to the data transmitted via broadcasting to the host device when broadcasting transmission is carried out from the host device to a plurality of target devices 4.
