PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new kind of door chain lock which can not be easily removed with a screwdriver inserted from a half-open door gap, in consideration that previously a head portion of a conventional receiving seat where screws are fixed together can be easily removed by screwing, and also the conventional door chain lock and the door is held open halfway by placing a chain from a clasp side fixed to a wall surface with screws to a receiving seat side fixed to a door surface. SOLUTION: Directly above a screw for attaching a base seat box and a receiving seat box, a cover plate having a mechanism of aligning directly above the same screw is placed at the time of locking, so that the removal of the boxes can be prevented in this way.
