PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a printing process starting from a label printing commencement position regardless of the positional relation between the mark printed on a mount at equal intervals and the label temporally attached to the mount at equal intervals. SOLUTION: After the mark is detected with both the levels of a transmission sensor output signal and a reflection sensor output signal having risen, then, when a taking-up part of remainder (portion of only mount) between the label 7 and the adjacent other label 7 is detected with the label of the transmission sensor output signal having declined, it is judged that the mark has been printed at the position corresponding to the rear end of the label 7 at the rear face of the mount 6. According to the judged result, the paper feed of the paper 5 is controlled, then the printing commencement position is moved to the one directly under a thermal head. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
