<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium provided with a plurality of information layers wherein data can be desirably recorded in the information layer furthest from a laser beam incident surface and the recorded data can be reproduced and data can be desirably recorded in the information layers other than the information layer furthest from the laser beam incident surface and the recorded data can be reproduced. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium is provided with a substrate 11, first and second information layers 20 and 30 laminated via an intermediate layer 12 on the substrate 11.
