PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of acquiring referring information on the route to destination on real time, without complicated operation. SOLUTION: After the data for current position acquired from a controlling division 19 through a GPS receiving division 13 and the data for running direction of a vehicle acquired from a gyro sensor division 14 are together used to position the present location, the route can be searched from the position of the current location, and the position of destination input by users and the map data. Information concerning the searched route, or the present location, the destination and the travelling road is extracted from among the character information received and displayed on monitor screen and is read out loud in voice. Thus, when, for example, weather conditions up to the destination are desired to be know, the user can acquire weather information in real time, by selecting beforehand weather information.
