The common turner is assembled of a flat rectangular metal sheet provided with slots and a long stick-shaped handle. The new design is of a similar shape, but additionally fitted with a specifically curved concave segment (2) between the handle (3) and the platform (1). The front edge is pushed under the chop or pancake and lifted in order to let the food slide along the concave surface (2). The pancake or chop is safely positioned upside down in the frying pan after the quick operation.
