<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate matter reducing device having a filter less liable to be clogged to reduce labor of cleaning, suppressing increase in back pressure to avoid harmful influence on an engine, eliminating danger of melting, heated damage to the filter, simply materializing those and capable of high reducing rate and purification rate. <P>SOLUTION: The particulate matter reducing device 10 burns and reduces particulate matter PM in exhaust gas 1 of a diesel engine while collecting the same by the filter at low collection rate at 50% or less. The filter 11 has a wire mesh structure short pole shape provided with a center penetration hole 12 and is coaxially stored in an outer tube case 4 with keeping gap space 14 and is retained by a front and a rear cover plate 17, 18. The cover plates 17, 18 partitions the inside of the outer tube case 4 to a front part and a rear part and ventilation holes 15, 16 are formed on an outer circumference part and a center part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
