PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a highly precise grating capable of reducing the loss other than reflection wavelength band. SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus of optical fiber grating has a laser 2 that irradiates an optical fiber 5 with an ultraviolet beam and a phase grid 3 which is located on a position of transmitting the ultraviolet beams 10 and diffracts the transmitted ultraviolet beams. The manufacturing apparatus of optical fiber further has a pair of mirrors 4a, 4b which are disposed oppositely to each other between the phase grid 3 and optical fiber 5 so as to reflect only±primary diffraction beams of the ultraviolet beams 10 diffracted by the phase grid 3. The manufacturing apparatus of optical fiber furthermore has a movement mechanism of adjusting a positional relation among the mirrors 4a, 4b, phase grid 3 and optical fiber 5 so that interference fringes of the ultraviolet beams 10 reflected by a pair of the mirrors 4a, 4b exist on the optical fiber 5.
