PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that elements of a charged voltage output circuit are high-cost and large-sized components because of being high-voltage components, since a circuit is constituted of a voltage dividing circuit (charged voltage output circuit) for dividing voltage the same potential as a main capacitor, when detection from a charged voltage of the main capacitor is performed. SOLUTION: A capacitor charging device has a flyback type DC/DC converter which charges a first capacitor being the main capacitor, by a transformer whose secondary winding has an intermediate tap and is composed of a first winding and a second winding. The capacitor charging device has a second charging circuit which charges a second capacitor with flyback pulses generated by the first winding, and a voltage detection means for detecting a charged voltage of the second capacitor, and stops charging of the first capacitor from a detection result of the charged voltage detection means.
