PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformalize level shifts occurring in pixel potentials caused by parasitic capacitance parasitically existing in scanning signal lines within a display screen. SOLUTION: An output signal VD1a of a waveform having a slope period Tslope in which a voltage level falls from a high level like a slope is inputted to a scanning signal line driving circuit. The output signal D1a is a signal having an Stc signal cycle equal to one scanning interval that is the sum of the high level period and the slope period Tslope. The scanning signal line driving circuit generates a waveform of VG(j) having a tilt amount Vslope of the falling slope using the above slope period Tslope and outputs it to each scanning signal line.
