The combination has a gas spring having a piston (21) movable within a cylinder, wherein one of the piston and cylinder extends to a yoke (24). A socket is pivotally received in the yoke, with the yoke free to pivot about the socket along a first axis. A connecting member is received in the socket, and free to move within the socket about a second axis, distinct from first axis. An independent claim is also included for a movable panel and vehicle body member assembly.
