<p>The equipment makes it possible to detect microbiologically caused corrosion on a carbon steel structure (2) using two electrodes forming an anode and a cathode. The equipment comprises means for the application of a current between the two electrodes, a data acquisition device including means for measuring the current and/or the difference in potential between the two electrodes, a probe body (1) having a peripheral steel surface which can be coupled to the structure (2) by an electric insulator or by a contact, a probe head (14) which is coupled to the probe body (1), incorporating a carbon steel electrode referred to as the first electrode forming anode (A), and electric connection means (102, 103) connecting the first electrode and peripheral surface of the probe body (1) to the data acquisition device, wherein said peripheral surface forms the second electrode forming the cathode.</p> |
