PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot system capable of easily and precisely computing a mechanical original point of a robot. SOLUTION: This robot system is furnished with the robot 2 furnished with a first arm 5 and a second arm 3 free to move against the first arm 5, mounting a sensor 6 on one of the first arm 5 and the second arm 3 and furnished with a detected part 1 free to detect by the sensor on the other arm, a robot control device 10 to control the robot 2 and a robot teaching device 16 connected to the robot control device 10, wherein the detected part 1 is made in a V letter shape against a scanning surface of the sensor 6.
