PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having high light emitting luminance, high light emitting efficiency and long light emitting service life and restricted in driving power thereof, and to provide a display device or a lighting system provided with the same. SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescent element having a plurality of organic compound contained layers between a negative electrode and a positive electrode, at least one layer of the organic compound contained layers contains a polymer, which contains at least one of repetition units expressed with a general formula (1).
