<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misjudgement in judging a breakdown of a lockup clutch or a lockup clutch control device, in a control device of a vehicle equipped with an engine capable of executing/halting combustion for every cylinder group. <P>SOLUTION: This control device is provided with the engine capable of switching between an all cylinder operating state activating the all cylinders of the engine and a halt cylinder operating state activating a part of the cylinders according to an operation state of the vehicle, a torque converter with the lockup clutch connected to the engine, and a lockup clutch control device controlling the lockup clutch. Furthermore, this control device comprises an engine switch controlling unit controlling the switching of the engine between the all cylinder operating state and the halt cylinder operating state, a breakdown judging unit judging a breakdown of the lockup clutch and the lockup clutch control device, and a fastening capacity change prohibiting unit prohibiting a change in the fastening capacity of the lockup clutch in association with the switching control of the engine operation state by the engine switch controlling unit during the breakdown judgement by the breakdown judging unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
