PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting magnet coil system which not only can charge and discharge the superconducting magnet coil system but also can precisely stabilize the magnetic field of the magnet coil system during long-term operation. SOLUTION: A magnet arrangement comprising: a superconducting magnet coil system M which has an ohmic resistance R of more than zero during operation; and a flux pump P which has at least one superconducting switch S1 and at least two superconducting secondary coils M1, M2. Wherein at least one superconducting current path is provided, and the superconducting magnet coil system M or parts thereof are connected in series with at least two secondary coils M1, M2, and at least one secondary coil M2 can be bridged so as to be super-conductive by closing the superconducting switch S1.
